Prestige Hong Kong Celebrates Its 5th Anniversary

The publication of the September 2010 issue marks a new milestone for Prestige Hong Kong, the city's leading luxury lifestyle and society magazine.

In selecting whom to feature as our cover story in this special, 516-page anniversary issue, we invited socialite-turned-celebrity Kim Kardashian. We couldn't resist the chance to have Kim as our hottest cover ever, especially when she told us the shot of her flanked by two naked men is one of her favourite photos. The exclusive shoot done in Los Angeles includes stunning photographs of Kim in gorgeous outfits.

But that produced a wonderful dilemma. With someone as beautiful as Kim, we were spoiled for choice. So, for the first time ever, we created a second, fashionably chic Prestige Hong Kong cover, with her delectably dolled up.

Whichever cover you choose, in our exclusive interview the 29-year-old reality TV star reveals to Prestige Hong Kong what audiences can expect in upcoming episodes of Keeping Up with the Karadashians: "You'll see me single and dating around." Also, what life is like with TV cameras constantly in the house ("If anything, I think it's brought us closer.") , her "very strict" but fairy tale upbringing in Beverly Hills, the influences in her life, about starting another reality show, and her business plans, which include perfume, jewellery and a new line of clothing.

AUGUST MAN STEPS INTO MALAYSIA

Less than two years after its launch in Singapore by CR Media PTE LTD, men's title August Man, has been licensed for the Malaysia market.

Under the terms of the deal between CR Media and Malaysian consumer lifestyle publisher E-Media SDN BHD, AUGUST MAN will debut in Malaysia by fourth quarter of 2008.

Conceptualised and launched in Singapore in September '06, the magazine's progress has been driven by factors as a strong commitment to quality editorial and a vigorous advertising and promotional campaign.

AUGUST MAN's sophisticated, sharp-witted and iconoclastic presentation of lifestyle features, fashion, travel and commentary has drawn a significant paid subscription list and a thriving advertiser base. As well, it was lauded by one major Asian advertising trade magazine for having one of the top 10 men's magazine covers in Singapore for 2007.

It's L'Officiel!

In Singapore, leading luxury lifestyle publisher, CR Media will launch a local version of iconic French luxury fashion title, L'Officiel, later this year.

The licensing deal signed with L'Officiel publisher Editions Jalou, will see CR Media produce 12 localised issues a year of the magazine.

Aimed at women between 25 and 49, L'Officiel has defined fashion, beauty, elegance, design, and culture since it was founded in 1921.

The new L'Officiel Singapore joins a stable of high end lifestyle titles that includes Prestige in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong, August Man, Luxx Jewellery, Luxx Travel & Spa, Bride du Jour and Tic Talk Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Indonesia.

"We are very excited to be able to bring such an internationally recognised global publishing brand to Singapore," says Jane Leong, Group Publisher & Managing Director of CR Media.

UK HELLO PICKS UP PRESTIGE SINGAPORE SHOOT

In a nod to Singapore as a producer of international quality magazine content, an exclusive Prestige Singapore article and photo shoot of US publishing heiress Amanda Hearst has this week been picked up by Hello magazine in the UK. The feature was conceptualised and coordinated from Singapore and executed using a mix of Singapore and international talent, including Prestige in-house photographer Matthew Lee who travelled to the US to work alongside leading New York photgrapher Jimmy Bruch. It was one of three high society international projects completed by the magazine, including exclusives with Vanessa Haydon Trump, wife of Donald Trump Jr, and New York social favourite, Tinsley Mortimer, who is married to the heir of the Standard Oil fortune. The three features ran in Prestige Singapore and its partner editions in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Hong Kong in the last months of 2006. Jane Leong, managing director of Prestige Singapore publisher CR Media says the company sees the Hello deal as more than just being part of a natural business development for the company. "This gives us the opportunity to grow the Singapore-born Prestige brand and at the same time bring homegrown Singapore talent to the international stage," Leong says.
